I have been helping people to improve their health, develop fitness, change body shape and create new habits & behaviours since 2002.

I am ideally placed to help you as whatever your circumstances or however much of a ‘disaster’ you may feel you are I have seen it before.

It does not matter if it has been a long time since you were last in a good place with your health & fitness or if you have a track record of failure and frustration.

Holistic – 

I use an approach that addresses nutrition, exercise, mind set and behaviour change. This is needed for most people to stop the yo-yo cycle of progress and failure while cutting through the confusion of what advice to follow to give you clarity about what you need to do for results. 

This includes being clear on what to eat and how to exercise but also looks at how to enjoy a social life during the process, techniques to get yourself to exercise when you are not feeling motivated and looks at the impact of stress on this entire process. 

There are very few to any personal trainers or coaches in the UK who are as able to apply the holistic methods I use with client. This comes from my book Change Your Thinking, Change Your Shape (2011) and soon to be published book Grand Unified Theory Of Body Transformations (2020).

Healthy

For me it is essential that any body transformation process is done in a healthy way. This means focusing on improving your health while changing the body .

It is also about looking at the thoughts, feeling and behaviours behind your health and fitness. It is as important to be free from food obsessions or fixations about body image as it is to change your external appearance.  

I have focused on the internal results alongside external changes for many years, I was one of the first Personal Trainer in the UK to become an Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Therapist and I studied clinical nutrition.

Sustainable

Perhaps the most essential element of any transformation is whether it is sustainable. Why go through all the effort only to find yourself back to where you started in 12 months time? The average person has a history of progress then failure. It is time to make a permanent change. 

Consistency and sustainability are at the heart of my approach. This involves looking at developing plans to address the demotivated part of your personality as much as the motivated side. I focus on changing who you are around health and fitness and not just giving you a plan.

Almost no other trainer or coach focuses on this area, they just give plans for the motivated and hope you can stick to it. I took many year to develop the Grand Unified Theory of Body Transformations, which is the process of how someone makes a permanent change in their behaviours and results.

The process begins by taking a few simple assesements from which we start to put in place an  achievable next step with your nutrition, fitness and / or behaviour. We discuss problems and progress via email or whatsapp and you have access to many supporting videos and documentation.

The plan then develops each week as dictated by your progress, needs, desires and results obtained. We keep in support throughout with daily contact on whatsapp, weekly check in’s with progress and measurements etc.

The process starts by a quick Goals Strategy Call, if keen thereafter you will be sent a intake questionnaire to complete. From this I can design the initial plan and we will start ASAP.

The Coaching Process is NOT …

Many people have all sorts of mis-assumptions around health, fitness or body transformations. These include the points below:

–  It DOES NOT involve eating without taste – Your food must taste good! 🙂

– It DOES NOT involve stopping all your favourite foods. You can get results and still keep your favourite food or drink.

– It DOES NOT involve painful exercise, undue effort or pushng yourself to the edge of death. You are exercising not trying out for the army.

– It DOES NOT come with huge pressure to be perfect or get results. This is real life and I have worked with every type of client over the last 18 years. Failure and mistakes are expected and I am not going to criticise, shout or lose patience.

 

Expected Results & Timescales

You would expect to see some changes happen immediately while other changes need a little more time to materialise –

-Feeling Motivated – You would expect to instantly feel more motivaed on sign up. Ongoing motivation improvement occur as you begin to rewire your brain and devlop health & fitness habits.

-Feeling Healthier / More Energy – The initial changes in these areas can happen within a week. More significant changes can happen within a month. It may take a few months for more permanent, lasting improvements in health or energy.

-Body Fat / Feel of Clothes (weight) – You would expect to see an initial reduction within 5 to 7 days, more significant changes would take around four weeks (all clothes feeling looser). You can expect to lose a dress size within 4 to 8 weeks, this would equate to around 1% fat per week or 0.5 to 1.5 Kg per week (1-3 lbs / week).

-Muscle Gain  – The muscle growth process is the slowest of all to see. Initial changes can happen quickly through activation of sleeping muscles. Thereafter it takes around 4-8 weeks to see changes. Significant changes will take 3 to 12 months. However, looking toned or muscular is related to body fat. As you lose body fat you appear more toned or musclar.
