Daily Motivation Tips - Same old time, same old mistakes

I love Sunday’s as I smash it up on the track 9.30am then head up to Touch Rugby at 11.30. This means come 2pm, I am dehydrated, hungry and it becomes an easy time for me to eat some rubbish food. Which for me, I would consider to be yoghurt. (Even though most people consider this to be a ‘healthy' food / snack).

To avoid this situation I always try to ensure I have some food sitting right back in the house waiting for me with my name on it! This means when I am driving home the temptation to call in the shop to buy one quick thing, which becomes ten items can be put out of my mind.

Most people have certain times, periods, situations where things always go wrong. This may be when you get straight back from work, finish the gym, Friday nights or lunch times when you have had a hectic morning. Look to create a strategy which could prevent the situation knocking you off your path.

Mind – body change exercise

  • Write down the times of the day / week when your eating is more likely to go wrong?
  • Think up and write down some possible ways you can get round this problem?
  • Test it and see if it works, then review and evaluate.
